Kick Off the New Year in Style

By | Uncategorized | No Comments

2019 has arrived, Christmas is becoming a distant memory and the dreaded January blues are setting in….

Instead of hibernating, counting pennies and wishing summer would hurry up, why not book a relaxing weekend away? Here are the 3 reasons why you should do exactly that!

  1. It’s the perfect way to combat the winter blues

Lets face it, we all have a tendency to be a bit glum this time of year… the festive season is over and it’s back to reality; plus its dark, cold and summer holidays feels like a lifetime away. Instead of staying in and racking up your central heating bill like everybody else, get away and have a new experience. In other words, start the year as you mean to go on!
  2. Great deals are available

In terms of bang for your buck, this is a great time to book a trip away. With it traditionally being a quieter time of the year, there are plenty of great value deals to be had, including our luxury log cabins in Langholm which are available for £100 per night from January – March. We also have a special offer this February where you can enjoy a 4 night stay Monday – Friday or a 3 night stay Friday – Monday for just £250!

  3. There is plenty to see and do!

Contrary to popular belief, this is a great time of year to get out and about (providing you’ve got the right clothes!). The crisp winter days make for some magical romantic walks – when staying at Ewes Water Log Cabins you can enjoy a peaceful walk on the moorland where you can spot some brilliant wildlife or take a gentle stroll along the riverside and then return to the cosy log cabin with underfloor heating and blazing log burner! We also have a bird table outside the log cabins which attracts a stunning range of birds.  Shops & visitor attractions have all opened for business again after Christmas so you’ll be shore to find some bargains. The nearby Gretna Gateway outlet village (10 minutes from us in Langholm) is a great choice for January sale shopping! You can get up to 75% off popular retail brands such as Next and Radley.
