Wildlife on Langholm Moor is really thriving. We have Hen Harrier, Buzzard, Kestrel, Curlew, Skylark, Merlin, Stonechat, Red and Black Grouse, Sparrowhawk, Meadow Pipit, Short Eared Owl, Peregrine Falcon, Pied Wagtail, Jay, Red Kite, Snipe, Waxwing Crop, and many more, all spotted this year! Along with the wild goats which live on the moor.
Hen Harriers are the main attraction. Being one of the most scarce birds of prey in the UK.
You can take a short drive or a walk up to Langholm Moor from our cabins.
